Habanero Red Pepper Jam Wings

Habanero Red Pepper Jam Wings

Habanero Jam Sauce and WIngs

Best Jam Wings I’ve ever had..

Over the years I’ve tried peanut butter jelly wings, experimented a little with some grocery store bought jams will little success. They were, in my opinion, ok but didn’t have that chicken wing taste. Too much jelly masking the flavor of the chicken wing.

However, after attending a local fair in Durham, CT I came across a local vendor, Uncle Carney’s Bootleg Jams. My eye was drawn to the word ‘Habanero’ across many of their Jars so I had to give them a try. Each and every one had a great unique flavor with a nice kick. I was instantly sold. I purchased Habanero Mango Pineapple, Habanero Redbell Pepper, and Habanero Raspberry. I couldn’t wait to try these. Mango Pineapple is my favorite but Redbell pepper has the most kick.

The flyer that came with the Jams indicated they were great for wings and suggested placing right on top of your cooked wings. While that does work, I’ve found the best balance for me was to add butter to achieve the right level of consistency and balance of Jam to wing ratio.

I encourage you to check out their homepage. Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with the company, just recognition for their great products.
