Son of Zombie Chicken Wing Sauce – XXX Hot – Amazing Must Have
You don’t have to be a Zombie Apocalypse Prepper or avid ‘Walking Dead’ fan to enjoy this chicken wing sauce. It’s perfect right out of the bottle and one of our favorite sauces. Heres why.
Heat
When they say XXX hot, they mean it. Made with locally grown Ghost Chili Peppers (no extract) it sends a one-two punch to your tastebuds. The heat kicks in towards the end and grows slightly with each wing. However, this sauce has so much more going for it than just spicey heat. And, if you’re no stranger to spicy foods, you can leave the milk in the fridge for this one.
Flavor
Heat is great, but besides burning my insides, I want flavor! Well, good job Torchbearer Sauces because Son of Zombie Wing Sauce has so much more than just heat. There’s a perfect balance of sweetness as you take your first bite, followed by a distinct garlic flavor as the heat ramps up.
According to their site, this sauce is a mix of Chipotle BBQ and Honey Garlic. I’m shocked to say, my tastebuds picked up on all dimensions.
Amount
Pictured above is a 5-ounce bottle of sauce. However, it was plenty for the number of wings I was making. I covered about 10 wings with a little less than half the bottle with some to spare. My recommendation is to heat the sauce in a small saucepan prior to placing on your chicken wings. This helps to thin the sauce to provide an even coat. If I had to guess, one 5 ounce bottle could cover 24 to 30 wings.
